Ever wanted to learn more about plant-based diets for athletes? Join Moonflower Co-op and Lauren Doucette, the Feel Good Body Coach, for a 2-part class series covering popular topics and answering common questions regarding plant-based diets in the sports and fitness world. Learn about muscle maintenance and development, endurance training, and sports supplements to enhance performance and recovery for the vegan athlete.
The first session will cover protein intake and muscle maintenance, common challenges, and questions around protein on a plant-based diet. We will discuss myths and facts and make an easy, protein dense meal.
Attendees will get hands-on experience preparing food, engage in open discussion, and be given take-home materials for introspective learning. Students will leave with a better understanding of how to fuel various sports and activities on a plant-based diet.
Free and open to all! All ingredients will be provided. Class will take place in our Datura Deli kitchen.
