We are seeking a hardworking, responsible individual to add to our Datura Deli prep staff. Our Datura Deli uses organic, whole food ingredients, sourced locally as often as possible. Position is at least part time, ideally full time, including Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Pay DOE starting at $18.00/hour + benefits.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare menu items to be sold daily in the deli case and/or hot bar
  • Clean and stock deli and bakery cases according to procedure, utilizing proper signage
  • Maintain working knowledge of current deli recipes and help to develop new recipes
  • Maintain working knowledge of current food trends and specialty diets
  • Adhere to Moonflower Community Co-op ingredient policy
  • Receive product deliveries
  • Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to department procedure
  • Maintain back-stock areas according to department standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet co-op needs

Qualifications:

  • Commercial kitchen experience strongly preferred
  • Retail experience and interest in natural foods/specialty diets preferred
  • Attention to detail, promptness, and cleanliness required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work collectively with others
  • May be required to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays
  • Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays preferred

Moonflower is seeking a hardworking, responsible individual for a new position that includes Point-of-Sale System Assistant duties with some flexibility for optional cashier shifts.

This is a year-round position, part- to full-time. Availability on Mondays and Fridays a must.

This role is primarily responsible for assisting with managing our point-of-sale system, including maintaining our product database and accurate pricing. Additional responsibilities as a cashier may include operating cash registers, assisting customers, assisting with processing truck deliveries, and stocking.

Responsibilities:

  • Entering new products into the POS system.
  • Mandatory semiannual inventory at the end of June and December.
  • Assisting customers on the sales floor and registers.
  • Interfacing with all other departments and staff.
  • Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Above average attention to detail.
  • Above average math, computer, and data entry skills, including Excel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully.
  • Ability to prioritize, balance efficiency and multitasking, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Flexible to the needs of the business.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Retail/Point-of-sales systems experience
  • Natural foods co-op or grocery experience or interest
  • Cashier experience
