Gingerbread House Making: Healthy Building Blocks

Join Moonflower Co-op and Courtney Dare Reese Hill for a fun, interactive kids’ holiday activity making healthier “gingerbread” houses!

This class will focus on the importance of building in childhood development and lessons in planning and decision making, creative design, fine motor skills, critical thinking, and problem solving, as well as replacing traditional holiday sweets with healthier options.

Kids will learn about choosing healthy alternatives and make their own gingerbread houses using ingredients such as whole grain crackers, cream cheese, dried fruits, coconut shreds, and nuts.

Class will include kid-friendly yoga. All ingredients and yoga mats will be provided.

Free and open to all. Meet other children and families in the community!

The class will take place in the Dance Room at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center, 111 E. 100 N.

About Courtney:

Courtney has over 20 years of experience working with children in education, pediatrics, and yoga instruction, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is the owner of Desert Power Yoga and mother of Wylder.
