This quarter’s Round Up at the Register campaign will run from November 1st-14th and will benefit the Humane Society of Moab Valley (HSMV). For a two-week period, once each quarter, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar, to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. Last quarter, we partnered with the Full Circle Intertribal Center and raised over $1,200 for them, benefiting our local Native and Indigenous communities.
From HSMV:
“Funds raised from the Round Up campaign will be used for a special project to sterilize pets belonging to low income families in the Moab area. The overall objective of this project is to reduce the financial burden of sterilizing pets owned by low-income residents. Many pets are intact, and animals are often surrendered or turned loose because low-income families can’t afford pet care or move and don’t take their pets with them. A helping hand will help break the cycle of unwanted, unaffordable litters and abandoned pets. The specific objective is to sterilize 50 pets from low-income households in the Moab area. Cost-savings by eliminating unwanted litters and stray and homeless animals will strengthen and stabilize our entire community.”
