Hi, I’m Josie! I’ve been living in Moab for over four years, and during that entire time one of my strongest passions has been trying to capture the immense beauty and sometimes surreal nature of this landscape through my photography. These photos are a collection of my film and digital work from all over the southwest. It’s a mix of giant lonely landscapes and busy close up botanicals. To me it shows that on the surface, the desert may seem vast and empty but upon closer inspection one finds it teeming with life that has adapted in unique and fascinating ways. I hope my photos inspire the viewer to pause a second longer to ponder these interconnected elements that help make the southwest so magical.
