Start the New Year by nurturing your child’s well-being with our Yoga and Mindfulness class. This class introduces infants and young children to the benefits of yoga, promoting emotional regulation, physical coordination, and mental clarity. For infants, yoga enhances bonding, sensory awareness, and motor development. For older children, it helps improve focus, resilience, and calmness.
In today’s fast-paced world, yoga and mindfulness offer valuable tools for children to manage stress and overstimulation. This class provides a fun, family-friendly space to practice together, creating a foundation of well-being that lasts a lifetime. Whether it’s calming breaths, connecting through poses, or mindfulness techniques, this class will help families start the New Year with balance and joy.
What we will cover: In this class we will discuss in greater detail the importance of integrating mindfulness and yoga practices with children at a young age. We will cover easy mindfulness practices that families can do together. We will finish class with a mindfulness exercise and a few partner yoga poses and stretches that caregivers can do with their children.
Free and open to the public. Yoga mats and props will be provided. The class will take place in the Stage Room at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center, 111 E. 100 N.
