Great soil is the foundation for productivity, biodiversity, resilience, and stability in a garden. Jessica Soza of Exultant Gardens will discuss the building blocks for growing a “soil web.” She will cover five soil building techniques and subtleties required to make them successful. Even the hardest ground can be made into an oasis with good work and understanding.

About Jessica Soza:

Jessica has been gardening professionally for 14 years using the principles of permaculture and French-biointensive. She has maintained gardens at sea level in Sonoma county, built kitchen gardens at 8,500 feet in Colorado, and most recently developed an large food forest in Montana. Such broad experience has taught her which principles are universal and work in widely varying seasonal and climactic conditions, how to use them for the particular nature of each place, and especially the importance of building healthy, responsive soil.
