SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Moab Charter School
DESCRIPTION:This quarter’s Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from May 1st-14th and will benefit the Moab Charter School! For a two-week period\, once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nMoab Charter School is a free\, public K-6 charter school with small class sizes and an added focus on arts and outdoors. It was established in 2004 by a group of active parents from Moab and Castle Valley interested in providing an alternative to local schools in a small school\, small class size setting. The mission of Moab Charter School is to support and challenge each child to develop critical thinking\, self-direction\, and their full academic and creative potential. \nMCS uses the Utah State Office of Education common core state standards as guidelines for curriculum and instruction and is dedicated to providing individualized education through small\, differentiated classes. The arts and outdoors are important foundational aspects of their whole school curriculum. Teachers are also empowered to design innovative curricula and use creative instruction approaches. \nIf you choose to donate\, 100% of your change will go directly to MCS; Moonflower does not take any cut. We simply facilitate the donations.

SUMMARY:Root-to-Crown Chakra Yoga & Essential Oil Roller Series #2: Sacral Chakra
DESCRIPTION:Join Moonflower Co-op and Crystal Blanks of Mindful Movement Moab for the second class in a monthly educational series exploring each of the seven chakras! \n\nCrystal will guide you through an introduction to each chakra\, its attributes\, and the signs of both balance and imbalance. You’ll learn chakra-specific mudras and simple practices to restore harmony to this energy center. Together\, we’ll also create custom essential oil rollers and enjoy a yin yoga practice designed to support and nurture the chakra\, integrating their healing properties into your daily routine for a deeper connection with yourself and others. \nThis class of the series will focus on the sacral chakra (Svadhisthana). Located in the lower abdomen\, the sacral chakra governs creativity\, pleasure\, and emotional balance. A balanced sacral chakra allows you to embrace joy and flow. We will practice a short yoga sequence to awaken creativity and emotional flow\, and then make an essential oil roller to balance the sacral chakra. \nFree and open to all. All materials and yoga mats will be provided.
