SUMMARY:5% Day for Youth Garden Project
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, September 10\, in supporting the Youth Garden Project! \nThe Youth Garden Project cultivates healthy children\, families\, and community through educational programs and the profound act of connecting people with food from seed to table. \nThrough summer camp\, after school programs\, middle and high school classes\, elementary school Garden Classrooms\, and more\, YGP reaches many students in the Moab area. YGP also reaches the community with our food and events\, through CSA and produce sales to local stores\, our Produce Stand Collective\, Weed ‘N’ Feeds\, volunteer program\, Garden Dinners\, and the upcoming Harvest Festival! \nEvery second Tuesday of the month\, Moonflower Co-op donates 5% of the day’s proceeds to an organization doing important work in our community. \nIf you are interested in signing your organization up for a 5% Day\, please fill out this form.

SUMMARY:September ArtWalk with Guest Artist Kevin Walker
DESCRIPTION:Stop by our Datura Deli during Moab’s September ArtWalk and check out Kevin Walker’s mesmerizing artwork\, which he describes as “algorithmically assisted doodling.” Most of Kevin’s works started out with him doodling with pen and paper; he then deploys random number generators operating within complicated and carefully crafted algorithms in a computer program to approximate the pictures he sees in his mind’s eye\, and produces them using an ink jet printer. \nGet your ArtWalk postcard punched at all 10 of the art destinations around town for your chance to win a prize! Turn in your card at your final location to enter. \nKevin will be available to chat and answer questions about his art\, which is available for purchase. Light snacks will be provided\, and food from the deli will be available for purchase as well.
