SUMMARY:The Importance of an Open Heart in Wellness
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Don Leathers for an evening of opening.  The kidneys are the primary organ that builds the blood and supplies the Qi or life force to all other organs.  The Qi is what moves the blood.  Without Qi\, there is no life or movement.  The heart is the organ that governs Qi.  If the heart is not open\, then there is no Qi. \nWe will attempt to go deep into the understanding and philosophy of health\, mental\, emotional and physical health\, for a foundation in wellness.  Without understanding\, it is difficult to treat illness and discomfort. \n  \n

SUMMARY:5% Day for the Lower Utah Nordic Alliance (LUNA)

SUMMARY:Wholesome Sweets
DESCRIPTION:Indulging your sweet tooth every now and then doesn’t have to negatively affect your health.  Learn how to make delicious goodies without the use of dairy\, refined sugar\, grans\, or starches.  Processed foods can compromise our digestion\, immunity\, pH balance\, and hormones.  These imbalances can lead to side effects like weight gain\, acne\, sluggishness\, and premature aging. \nIn this class\, we will take a closer look at what constitutes clean eating and eliminate the need for packaged mixes.  By starting with fresh. whole foods\, we give our body food it recognizes and nutrients it can use. \nAomi Coelho is a licensed esthetician \, holistic nutrition specialist\, and owner of Moab Esthetics.  She combines skin care and nutritional counseling to help her clients achieve optimal health and radiance.

SUMMARY:Essential Oils for Winter Wellness
DESCRIPTION:Join artisan essential oil distiller Eric Scott Bresselsmith from the House of Aromatics to smell\, apply and appreciate the community of immunity within our backyard. \nEric will talk about indications and practical applications of essential oils as well the connection of essential oils to alchemy\, chemistry and the innate spirit/intelligence of the plants nature available through essential oil use. Eric began self studying herbalism in 1989\, was an organic farmer through the 90’s and has been distilling small batches of wild crafted essential oils since 2008. A fun and experiential evening. \nInstructor Bio: \nEric has been self studying and practicing herbalism since 1989. He has studied with master aromatherapists Barry Kapp/Audrey Wensler of Wisdom of the Earth\, and Andrea Butje of Aromahead Institue and Joy & Cindy of Still Point Aromatics. He has personally used essential oils since 2004 and began distilling on small scale (50 gallon distillation unit) in 2008 with basically no instruction. He virtually learned from the ground up. He also began pursuing his own personal wellness and health in 1988 and became an organic farmer at that time through 2002. He is not a practitioner but a wild crafter and essential oil distiller.
