SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for the Boulder Outdoor Survival School
DESCRIPTION:This month’s Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from June 17-30th and will benefit the Boulder Outdoor Survival School in Boulder\, Utah! For a two-week period\, approximately once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nYour change supports The Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS)\, a non-profit outdoor survival school in Boulder\, Utah that began in 1968. BOSS is dedicated to the instruction and preservation of traditional living skills and the development of people through experiences within the natural world. \nBOSS offers 7-\, 14-\, and 28-day field courses that are simulated survival expeditions\, as well as skill-specific courses like Wilderness First Responder\, Hunter/Gatherer\, and Navigation. These courses “get you disconnected from the screen(s) and reconnected to being a human.” While a BOSS course is not the only way to do this\, these field courses are unique because they are simulated survival experiences that explicitly challenge the participant’s spirit/mind/body in ways other outdoor courses often avoid. Students typically gain a deeper understanding of self and group reliance and what matters most in life\, as well as insight\, growth\, renewal\, and discovery through their interactions with the land and their fellow expedition-mates. \nA blurb from BOSS: \n“If you have ever felt like you were ill-prepared and/or curious how you would fare in a survival situation\, a BOSS field course might be for you. Taking a course with the Boulder Outdoor Survival School will provide you with unique skills that are applicable in any outdoor context and everyday life. It is more than just challenging yourself. It is about discovering insights into who you are through pushing yourself further than you would on your own. The knowledge of the past and how to work with what the Land offers is as applicable today as it has ever been. We hope to take ya out on the trail with not much more than the clothes on your back\, a knife\, and a water bottle.” \nIf your organization is interested in participating in Round Up at the Register\, please apply here or ask for an application at our office.

SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Grand County Active Transportation and Trails
DESCRIPTION:This month’s Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from May 1st-14th and will benefit Grand County Active Transportation and Trails (GCATT)\, aka Moab Trail Mix! For a two-week period\, approximately once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nGCATT works with local land managers to design\, build\, and maintain non-motorized trails in the Moab area. Currently\, their field staff and volunteers maintain over 160 miles of singletrack trails as well as many miles of trails dedicated to hiking\, climbing and canyoneering access\, and horseback riding. Your donations will support ongoing maintenance of the trail system and the purchase of new trail tools. Being a part of the local county government\, their operations rely on a combination of funding from tax revenue\, grants from the State and Federal governments\, and private donations. \nTo volunteer on the trails\, visit Moab Trail Mix on Facebook and Instagram\, or visit our website at moabtrailteam.com to see upcoming volunteer events. \nThank you for your support! \nIf your organization is interested in participating in Round Up at the Register\, please apply here or ask for an application at our office.

SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Canyonlands Field Institute
DESCRIPTION:Our next Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from April 1st-14th and will benefit Canyonlands Field Institute! For a two-week period\, approximately once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nCanyonlands Field Institute is an outdoor education non-profit\, founded in the summer of 1984 by two incredible women\, Karla VanderZanden and Robin Wilson. These ladies created a framework to invest in the future outdoor educators and ensure they created a space for women who wanted to be on rivers. \nCFI’s mission is to provide quality outdoor education on the Colorado Plateau\, to inspire care of wild places\, and renew the human spirit by disconnecting from technology. CFI is working towards a world where the people\, wildlife\, plants\, and waters of the Colorado Plateau are healthy and vibrant. Please consider donating to provide scholarships for children to come to camp this summer. Or get involved with their volunteer opportunities\, including “Invest in Moab\,” a once-monthly volunteer opportunity coordinated by CFI in partnership with other organizations in Moab! CFI is looking forward to a busy season of getting children outside. \nFunds from the Round Up campaign will be used for scholarships to support children coming to our Adventure Day camp\, which is a camp that works to connect Moab children to their backyard.\nIf your organization is interested in participating in Round Up at the Register\, please apply here or ask for an application at our office.
