SUMMARY:April ArtWalk with Abbi Ross
DESCRIPTION:The April Moab ArtWalk will take place on Friday\, April 3rd from 5-8pm at various locations around downtown Moab\, including Moonflower Co-op. \nStop by the Datura Deli and check out the art on display for the month by local artist Abbi Ross. \nAbbi Ross is a Moab-based artist originally from Salt Lake City. She has been a creative spirit her entire life\, always drawn to artistic expression—it has always been a passion for her. After moving to Moab two years ago\, Abbi found deep inspiration in the surrounding desert landscapes and the vibrant local community. \nAbout six months ago\, she began exploring texture art\, discovering a powerful new medium to channel her creativity. Her work reflects movement\, depth\, and an organic connection to the natural environment that surrounds her. \nIn addition to her art practice\, Abbi owns a local piercing shop and loves being an active part of the Moab community. Whether through her business or her artwork\, she is passionate about creating meaningful experiences and connections. \nJoin us at Moonflower Co-op for the April ArtWalk! Abbi will be at the co-op to answer questions and chat about their work. Stamp your ArtWalk postcard at all the locations for a chance to win a prize from Moab Arts. Light refreshments will be provided.

SUMMARY:Artist Reception with Guest Artist CC
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special artist reception with our featured local artist for the month of May\, Coyote Corvidae (CC)! \nNearly all of CC’s work is influenced by the backcountry where he spends much of his time\, generally the Colorado Plateau. Across the last few decades he has rambled throughout the southwest in the Chihuahua\, Sonoran\, and Mojave deserts\, both in the US and Mexico. He has sketched and painted sporadically throughout his life\, but in the last three years CC has worked with an intensive focus on the deserts and mountains of this region. \nIn other artistic ventures\, CC worked in the NEA-awarded theatre group Los Angeles Poverty Department for ten years\, where he acted\, directed\, and produced plays presented across the US and festivals in Europe. He also produced a radio play which was well received in Moab’s own KZMU radio festival. \nStop by our Datura Deli community space and see what you think of CC’s work. Light refreshments will be provided. Mckennaugh Kelly\, a full time resident of the highway\, will be playing original music inspired by asphalt and sand. A raft guide by day and night\, she thus travels the rivers as well\, the original roads of the land.
