DESCRIPTION:For the first two weeks of March\, we will be hosting a Round Up at the Register fundraiser to benefit Community Rebuilds! When you shop at Moonflower during these two weeks\, you will have the option of rounding up your purchase total to the nearest dollar (or more)\, and 100% of your change will go directly to CR. \nCommunity Rebuilds is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to build energy efficient housing\, provide education on sustainability\, and improve the housing conditions of the workforce through an affordable program. CR works with low-income families and individuals to construct affordable homes using “dirt cheap” materials including locally sourced sand\, clay\, and straw. They also operate a free internship program for young emerging professionals to get hands-on experience in natural building and learn about affordable housing. \nYour donations go towards making CR’s homes affordable to low-income residents of Moab and supporting their internship program’s housing costs. \nDue to DOGE and other federal funding cuts\, we are currently navigating a significant funding gap that affects staffing capacity\, program stability\, and the completion of active projects. With timely financial support\, we can maintain momentum\, support our participants\, and finish what we started. Eric will talk about indications and practical applications of essential oils as well the connection of essential oils to alchemy\, chemistry\, and the innate spirit/intelligence of the plants’ nature available through essential oil use. \nOther topics Eric will be covering include: \n\nThe importance of essential oils produced from regional plants and trees for “community immunity.” Essential oils will be passed around for imbibing the aromatics.\n“Neat” use (do’s and don’ts)\, dilution\, and diffusion.\nThe difference between therapeutic\, cosmetic\, and industrial grade essential oils and the importance of knowing the difference and why.\nThe origins of artificial and natural fragrance/flavor.\nThe permeation of synthetic petroleum distillates throughout current culture.\nThe difference between essential oils\, hydrosols\, oil infusions\, teas\, and tinctures.\nThe fundamentals of the distillation process.\n\nEric will also be at Moonflower from 12-4pm doing a floor demo with his essential oils and other House of Aromatics products. Stop by and say hi! \nHouse of Aromatics is a small artisan essential oil distillery located in the high desert mountains of southern Utah and operated as a one-man business by Eric Scott Bresselsmith. The primary products are steam-distilled essential oils of conifers and brushes that grow right here where we live: among them pines\, firs\, junipers\, spruce\, snakeweed\, sage\, and rabbitbrush. Eric began self studying herbalism in 1989\, was an organic farmer through the 90s\, and has been distilling small batches of wild crafted essential oils since 2008. DESCRIPTION:Join Crystal Blanks for a workshop that blends yoga\, mindfulness\, and self-care. Crystal will guide you through breathwork\, a grounding body scan\, and a gentle yoga flow to connect mind\, body\, and breath. \nAfter movement\, learn about essential oils and their benefits before creating your own personalized natural\, non-toxic yoga mat spray cleaner to take home. The workshop will close with group ritual and mindful reflection. \nFree and open to the public. Yoga mats will be provided\, but feel free to bring your own. The class will take place in the Dance Room at the MARC\, 111 E. 100 N. \nAbout Crystal: \nCrystal Blanks is a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher with multiple other certifications and owns a wellness practice here in Moab\, UT\, Mindful Movement Moab. \n Please RSVP below to help us prepare ahead of time.

DESCRIPTION:Attention local non-profits\, grassroots organizations\, and individuals! We are now accepting applications for our fall 2025 Seeds to Start Grant through November 15th. This grant offers an opportunity for groups and individuals motivated to create positive changes and innovative solutions in our community focused on expanding local food production/security\, promoting environmental justice\, and/or directly benefiting underrepresented communities in need. \nOne applicant will receive up to $1000 for their project or special purchase.
