DESCRIPTION:My name Kira J Brown.  I’ve been practicing massage for 18 years\, specializing in neuromuscular for the relief of chronic pain.  I ave learned over the years how significant nutrition is in healing and maintaing one’s health.  It does not have to be complicated nor expensive.  One of the most beneficial health beverages(and easiest to prepare) is Beet Kvass-fermented beet juice-nutrient rich\, anti-inflammatory\, and a deep cleansing tonic!  Scientific research illustrates inflammation to be the root of ALL disease.   One jet plain feels better by drinking beet kvass.  The fermentation process enhances already strong nutritional profile of raw beets\, increasing levels of enzymes & b vitamins\, as well as inoculating te beets with beneficial bacteria which support immunity and digestive health. I will show how to use the granola in delicious fiber bars\, turn it into a pie crust and use it in a parfait. \nMichele Warner has been teaching Plant based cooking classes for several years now and loves it more each time. She is a Nutritional Consultant and loves to help others learn healthy\, fun ways of cooking. \nLike all Moonflower classes this is free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand! \nHave you been wanting to start making your own Kombucha but always been a SCOBY short? With all the contradicting information on Kombucha brewing on the internet are you having trouble knowing where to start? \nHave you been brewing Kombucha for years and want to share your knowledge and/or SCOBYs? \nIn either case Moonflower Market’s Kombucha class is where you want to be! \nWe will have several experienced local Kombucha brewers who will give short presentations and answer any questions. \nWe will have enough SCOBYs for all attendees. But space is limited and it’s first come first serve. \nAnyone interested in participating either as a brewer or as a student is welcome to come in and sign up at Moonflower. \nThe class will be in the Moonflower Market’s kitchen.

SUMMARY:September Art Walk: Logan Hansen
DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy Logan Hansen’s photographic exploration of the Moab region. Using novel techniques and tools developed over the past five years\, he finds unique ways to view and display the land of canyons. His Master’s degree in Earth Sciences led him to this area; his background in technical pursuits fostered a desire to capture his surroundings in new and experimental ways. He was the Southeastern Utah Group’s Artist in the Parks for 2012. He will be showing work from that tenure as well as many other works from his favorite places discovered since moving here in 2009. \nThe art will be exhibited in Moonflower’s library. Free snacks and refreshments will be provided.
