On any scale\, from public parks to small home gardens\, they can weave a web of mutual relationships and well being.   Come learn about how to bring their benefits to any  landscape from one tree or shrub in your backyard to a whole acre. You’ll hear food forest stories\, learn basic design principles and how many possibilities one food forest can contain.\n\nThis class is led by Jessica Soza who has been a professional gardener and permaculture designer for 15 years. Most recently she spent 5 years developing the Low Bench Food Forest in Montana\, watching it transform denuded pasture into an acre of wild productivity and refuge.

DESCRIPTION:Seeking nominations for the Board of Directors Now is your chance to be an influential part of your community co-op! Moonflower is seeking nominations for 3 open seats on its 7-member Board of Directors. The board is representative of co-op Member/Owners and is responsible for the overall well-being of Moonflower Cooperative. Board members receive a 15% discount on purchases and a reduced markup on special orders. The duties of the Board of Directors include\, but are not limited to:  Establishing policies to govern operational decisions  Ensuring the financial well being of the co-op  Securing the good management of employees  Assuring that the purpose and mission of the co-op are carried out Requirements  :Must have been a co-op member for 6 months or more (since October of 2016)  Be able and willing to commit to 10-15 hours per month and serve a 3 year term  Prepare for and participate in monthly board meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month\, and attend the co-op annual meeting  Be available via phone or email between meetings as necessary. How to be nominated: Please pick up and application at the co-op\, or download from our website\, www.moonflower.coop Applications may be submitted via email jsavarese@moonflower.coop\, turned in at the store in a sealed envelope\, or mailed to: Moonflower Cooperative\, Attn: Judy Savarese\, 39 East 100 North\, Moab\, UT 84532. Applications must be received by Friday\, February 10th. Nominations will be posted on February 13th\, with the election to be held in March.
