SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Community Rebuilds
DESCRIPTION:This quarter’s Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from August 1st-14th and will benefit Community Rebuilds! For a two-week period\, once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nCommunity Rebuilds is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to build energy efficient housing\, provide education on sustainability\, and improve the housing conditions of the workforce through an affordable program. CR works with low-income families and individuals to construct affordable homes using “dirt cheap” materials including locally sourced sand\, clay\, and straw. They also operate a free internship program for young emerging professionals to get hands-on experience in natural building and learn about affordable housing. \nDonations go towards making CR’s homes affordable to low-income residents of Moab and supporting their internship program’s housing costs. \nTo learn more about our Round Up at the Register program\, click here.

In addition\, MCC provides subsidized staffing support and other services to other daycare childcare providers in the community and supports the creation and operation of new childcare facilities. \nEvery second Tuesday of the month\, Moonflower Co-op donates 5% of the day’s proceeds to an organization doing important work in our community. Synergy products will remain at the year-round discount for owners. \n8am-4pm: PARKLET PARTY (Moonflower Co-op\, 39 E 100 N)\nWe will be blocking off the four parking spaces in front of the store for a “parklet party” where you can meet and greet local growers and vendors\, snag some free samples\, and learn about the co-op. Free coffee from 8-10am or until supplies last! Kids (or adults) can complete a co-op scavenger hunt for a prize!
