SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Community Rebuilds
DESCRIPTION:This quarter’s Round Up at the Register campaign will run from May 1st-14th and will benefit Community Rebuilds! For a two-week period\, approximately every quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar\, to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nCommunity Rebuilds’s mission is to build energy-efficient housing\, provide education on sustainability\, and improve the housing conditions for the local workforce through an affordable program. CR is an equal housing opportunity. Donations go towards making their homes affordable to low-income residents of Moab and supporting their internship program’s housing costs. In exchange for their labor on the build sites\, interns learn sustainable\, environmentally friendly construction practices like straw bale building and clay plastering. CR builds about six straw bale houses a year and educates 32 interns; they also welcome anyone to come volunteer with us at our build sites (after COVID-19 has passed…)! CR wants homeownership to be a possibility to individuals and families that want to make a life here and contribute to our wonderful community. \nIf your organization is interested in participating in Round Up at the Register\, please apply here or ask for an application at our office.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Tuesday\, May 12th in supporting Canyonlands Field Institute! \nCanyonlands Field Institute has provided quality outdoor education on the Colorado Plateau\, to inspire care of wild places and renew the human spirit through our school and youth programs for 35 years. Our charitable efforts focus on ensuring that we reach a wide range of children by underwriting all land and river-based programs with additional need-based scholarships for local students. Each year CFI reaches over 1\,000 youth through our Outdoor Science School Programs. \nEvery second Tuesday of the month\, Moonflower Co-op donates 5% of the day’s proceeds to an organization doing important work in our community.
