DESCRIPTION:Join Moonflower Co-op and Courtney Dare Reese Hill for a fun\, interactive kids’ holiday activity making healthier “gingerbread” houses! \nThis class will focus on the importance of building in childhood development and lessons in planning and decision making\, creative design\, fine motor skills\, critical thinking\, and problem solving\, as well as replacing traditional holiday sweets with healthier options. \nKids will learn about choosing healthy alternatives and make their own gingerbread houses using ingredients such as whole grain crackers\, cream cheese\, dried fruits\, coconut shreds\, and nuts. \nClass will include kid-friendly yoga. All ingredients and yoga mats will be provided. \nFree and open to all. Meet other children and families in the community! \nThe class will take place in the Dance Room at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center\, 111 E. 100 N. \nAbout Courtney: \nCourtney has over 20 years of experience working with children in education\, pediatrics\, and yoga instruction\, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. DESCRIPTION:Join Moonflower Co-op and Courtney Dare Reese Hill for a fun winter solstice celebration for kids and caregivers! Kids will be able to participate in several activities to learn about and celebrate winter and the return of light\, including yoga\, snack and storytime\, and an outdoor mindfulness lesson! \nWe will move through winter-themed yoga poses\, make healthy “sun snack cups” and eat while reading the children’s book “The Shortest Day.” Class will finish with a reflection and outdoor mindfulness lesson. \nAll ingredients and yoga mats will be provided. \nFREE and open to all.
