SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Community Rebuilds
DESCRIPTION:This month’s Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from August 1-14th and will benefit Community Rebuilds! For a two-week period\, approximately once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nCommunity Rebuilds is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to build energy-efficient housing\, provide education on sustainability\, and improve the housing-conditions of the workforce through an affordable program. CR works with low-income families and individuals to construct affordable homes using “dirt cheap” materials including locally sourced sand\, clay\, and straw. They also operate a free internship program for young emerging professionals to get hands-on experience in natural building and learn about affordable housing. \nIf your organization is interested in participating in Round Up at the Register\, please apply here or ask for an application at our office.

SUMMARY:5% Day for Science Moab
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, August 10th to support Science Moab! \nScience Moab is a local 501(c)3 organization that works to engage community members and visitors with the science happening in southeast Utah and the greater Colorado Plateau. We work to empower the local community by providing access to place-based science in ways that build community and connection to place. \nFunds from the 5% Day will be used for Science Moab on Tap events\, a science lecture series geared towards locals and hosted in community spaces around town. These events bring the community together during the off-season and provide a place for people to learn and have fun together. The events have been very well attended and loved by the local community. \n\n\n\n\nEvery second Tuesday of the month\, Moonflower Co-op donates 5% of the day’s proceeds to an organization doing important work in our community.
