SUMMARY:Round Up at the Register for Grand County Active Transportation and Trails
DESCRIPTION:This month’s Round Up at the Register campaign will be held from May 1st-14th and will benefit Grand County Active Transportation and Trails (GCATT)\, aka Moab Trail Mix! For a two-week period\, approximately once a quarter\, we offer the opportunity for owners and customers to “round up” their purchases to the next whole dollar to raise funds for a local non-profit’s project or special purchase. \nGCATT works with local land managers to design\, build\, and maintain non-motorized trails in the Moab area. Currently\, their field staff and volunteers maintain over 160 miles of singletrack trails as well as many miles of trails dedicated to hiking\, climbing and canyoneering access\, and horseback riding. Your donations will support ongoing maintenance of the trail system and the purchase of new trail tools. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, May 11th in supporting Community Rebuilds! \nCommunity Rebuilds is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to build energy efficient housing\, provide education on sustainability\, and improve the housing conditions of the workforce through an affordable program. Community Rebuilds works with low-income families and individuals to construct affordable homes using “dirt cheap” materials including locally sourced sand\, clay\, and straw. They also operate a free internship program for young emerging professionals to get hands-on experience in natural building and learn about affordable housing. \nEvery second Tuesday of the month\, Moonflower Co-op donates 5% of the day’s proceeds to an organization doing important work in our community.
