SUMMARY:Everything Potatoes!
DESCRIPTION:Come discover why you should think more about the potatoes you are consuming. There are serious issues with how we are conventionally growing potatoes that have far reaching implications for our health. How did we get into this mess and what is the path forward? \nCastle Valley Farms is dedicated to growing the most nutrient dense\, chemical free food possible. Tommy Mayer will give a presentation on the farm’s journey to potatoes\, a bit of science about the relationship between specific gravity (density) and the culinary use of particular varieties\, and some interesting health benefits found in the more colorful ones. He will also bring a Dutch oven potato roast for demonstration and sampling. Potato seed will be available for purchase. \nThis class is free and open to the public. \nAbout Tommy \nCurrently the baker at Castle Valley Farms\, Tommy has worn many hats over the past 9 years… math and science teacher\, farm manager\, all while husband to Felicia and father to Grace and Llia. The whole family has thoroughly enjoyed living in this neck of the woods and lives most of their lives outdoors.

SUMMARY:Success Through Communication
DESCRIPTION:To communicate or not… that is the question! \nIn other words\, you are only as successful as your ability to communicate. \nAttend an informal evening with one-on-one\, interactive demonstrations and actual practice on the subject of communication\, taught by Britta Kingsley. \nLearn how to get your point across even in unfamiliar or friendly settings\, and much more. You will walk away with increased confidence and the ability to improve any situation using communication alone. And it’s fun! \nJoin us in the Grand County Library Large Meeting Room on Tuesday\, April 2nd at 5:30pm. \nAbout Britta Kingsley \nWe live in a smaller community and communication may be even more important for us. We would like to enjoy healthy\, enduring friendships. We like to welcome newcomers to our community. How do we accomplish this with live communication? \nI was born in Denmark (a small European country of 5 million people\, then) and had planned out my grammar school teacher education. However just a few months into it I got introduced to a new philosophy which got me very curious. I attended a class on communication – which ran over 3 weeks every weekday night. I learned a lot. I will be going over some of the things I learned on this very first of my many studies. \nSince then I moved to England where I studied for 6 years and ended up with a University degree. I have traveled all over Europe\, India\, and Russia and used my skills as an instructor\, educator\, and counselor. \nSince moving to USA in 2004 I have continued with advanced studies on this subject and love teaching it in a lively and practical setting. Join me.

SUMMARY:Make Your Own Heart Chakra Roll Ons!
DESCRIPTION:Join Crystal Bunch of Mindful Movement Moab for a free class to make a heart chakra essential oil roller just before Valentine’s/Galentine’s/Palentine’s Day! You’ll get to make your own roller with almond oil\, rose petals\, and rose essential oil that can be used on pulse points to help balance the heart chakra and provide stress relief. \n\n\n\nWhat is a chakra? Come to the class to find out! You will learn about the chakra system\, a philosophical and energetic system that originated in ancient India\, and how the 7 main chakras\, or energy points of the body\, can affect our emotional and physical well-being. When the chakras are “open\,” balanced\, and aligned\, energy can flow freely and the physical body\, mind\, and spirit can exist in harmony. \n\n\n\nJoin us on Wednesday\, February 8th at 7pm for this free community class!
